FAQ

Q: How did you become interested in family history?

A: Seven years ago, I signed up for an Ancestry membership. Six months later, I had developed a pedigree chart. Over the next three years, I continued to research off and on. During the pandemic, I used my extra time in quarantine to write stories based on the research. The following year, I took a DNA test just for fun and the results furthered my interest. A few months later, my grandmother passed away and she left behind photographs and other material. I wished I had documented her oral history so that is essentially what sparked my interest. My Dad has been a genealogy enthusiast ever since I can remember and his interest was prompted by the death of his grandmother. He has passed along photographs and information to me. Then it just sort of took off from there.
